Position Overview
Direct One is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong problem solving and organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and inspect direct mail materials, including letters, envelopes, brochures, and promotional items, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with brand guidelines.
Conduct thorough quality checks on mailing lists, addressing accuracy, formatting, and segmentation to minimize errors and maximize effectiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Develop and maintain quality control procedures, documentation, and checklists to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Perform regular audits and spot checks to identify potential areas for improvement and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks.
Stay updated on industry standards, postal regulations, and best practices related to direct mail marketing to ensure compliance and optimize performance.
Provide training and guidance to team members involved in direct mail production to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Investigate customer complaints or concerns related to direct mail quality and take appropriate actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Generate reports and metrics to track quality performance indicators, identify trends, and communicate findings to management for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred but relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree.
Proven experience in direct mail production, quality control, or related roles within a marketing or advertising agency, print shop, or similar environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Proficiency in using quality control tools, software, and systems to conduct inspections, audits, and analyses.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
Knowledge of postal regulations, direct mail best practices, and industry trends preferred.
Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies a plus.
Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software is a plus.
