About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer I to support and enhance our quality systems across engineering and production processes. This role is primarily focused on quality compliance, inspection decisions, and non-conformance management, ensuring all deliverables meet project and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Project Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Establish quality procedures, inspection plans, and work instructions
  • Conduct audits and monitor compliance across all project phases
  • Define and track quality KPIs to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure QA requirements are embedded in contracts, technical documents, and procurement processes
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), including determining disposition (scrap, rework, or accept)
  • Review and approve Material Test Reports (MTRs) and inspection documentation
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
  • Maintain quality records and compliance documentation
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting quality objectives
  • Act as a liaison with clients and third-party inspectors
  • Participate in HSE and integrity reviews

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
  • P.Eng. designation preferred (or eligibility); strong senior technologists will be considered
  • 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC, ideally within design, construction, manufacturing, or project environments
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspections, and compliance processes
  • Experience managing NCRs and inspection-related decision-making
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment in quality decisions
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
