About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer I to support and enhance our quality systems across engineering and production processes. This role is primarily focused on quality compliance, inspection decisions, and non-conformance management, ensuring all deliverables meet project and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Project Quality Management System (QMS)
- Establish quality procedures, inspection plans, and work instructions
- Conduct audits and monitor compliance across all project phases
- Define and track quality KPIs to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure QA requirements are embedded in contracts, technical documents, and procurement processes
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), including determining disposition (scrap, rework, or accept)
- Review and approve Material Test Reports (MTRs) and inspection documentation
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues
- Maintain quality records and compliance documentation
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting quality objectives
- Act as a liaison with clients and third-party inspectors
- Participate in HSE and integrity reviews
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required)
- P.Eng. designation preferred (or eligibility); strong senior technologists will be considered
- 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC, ideally within design, construction, manufacturing, or project environments
- Strong understanding of quality systems, inspections, and compliance processes
- Experience managing NCRs and inspection-related decision-making
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment in quality decisions
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
