Job Description
- In an increasingly connected world, telecom networks are the backbone of global connectivity. By joining the Optical Networks division (recently strengthened by the acquisition of Infinera), you’ll be at the forefront of a team delivering high-capacity network solutions in the AI-driven data center era.
- As an Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be an essential member of a cross-functional Scrum team. We don’t just “test code at the end”—we embed quality into the product right from the design phase.
- Whether you’re a recent graduate or at the start of your tech career, we provide the mentorship, tooling, and environment for you to master automated testing, Python coding, and cutting-edge AI quality frameworks.
- Learn Automation & AI Testing: You won’t just run manual tests—you’ll learn to build modern Python automation suites and leverage LLMs/AI utilities for test generation and defect analysis.
- Mentorship & Growth: Work closely with senior developers, system architects, and testers who will help you build a solid engineering foundation.
- Real Agile Experience: Participate in every step of the R&D software lifecycle within a supportive, international Scrum team.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Agile & Quality Mindset: Join daily scrums, sprint planning, and reviews, bringing fresh perspectives to requirement analysis and testability.
- Python Test Automation: Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using Python and pytest aligned with CI/CD practices.
- AI-Assisted Testing: Learn and apply AI-driven testing techniques (using LLMs for test case design, pattern analysis, and automated test data generation).
- Troubleshooting: Work on root-cause analysis to help developers fix complex system bugs efficiently.
Key Skills And Experience
Core Essentials:
- Education: BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics, or a related technical field (graduates/final-year students welcome).
- Programming Basics: Good foundations in Python (academic projects, internships, or personal projects are valid!).
- Problem-Solving Spirit: Curiosity, logical thinking, and strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Communication: Fluency in English and eagerness to collaborate in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Growth Mindset: High interest in software quality, test automation, and using AI tools to work smarter.
- Nice-to-Haves (Not mandatory – you’ll learn this with us!):
- Familiarity with pytest or Linux environments.
- Academic exposure or interest in optical networks, telecommunications, or networking protocols.
- Exposure to ISTQB concepts or AI/ML basic concepts.
