Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our software development team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through manual and automated testing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to identify issues, improve product quality, and ensure successful software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
- Conduct API testing and database validation when required.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts where applicable.
- Prepare testing reports and provide regular feedback on product quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
- Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Experience testing ERP, CRM, HR, or SaaS applications is an advantage.
