Package: $95,000-115,000 Basic Salary + bonus/additional benefits (full relocation assistance provided if applicable)

Summary:

Reporting directly into the Director of Quality & Food Safety, you will be leading QFS and Sanitation efforts for a site which produces well known household brands for the US market.

Responsibilities:

  • Site-Level Quality Leadership: Direct reports include the QA Technicians, Pest Control Technicians and Sanitation team.
  • Cross-Functional Manufacturing Environment: Peers include Regulatory, R&D, Commercialization, Procurement and Distribution Team Leaders and Managers.
  • Leads the day-to-day operations for QA and Sanitation and works closely with operations leadership to implement and standardize all food safety, SQF, and quality policies, programs and procedures. Identifies and implements best practices for quality and sanitation to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, implement and execute effective food safety and quality programs to meet all regulatory, customer, SQF, and internal requirements and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Serves as SQF Practitioner for facility. Manages and maintains SQF programs to maintain and improve Level 3 certification. Leads customer and 3rd party audits.
  • Ensures all employees are trained on all relevant food safety and quality training. Provides and/or participates in training sessions including annual refreshers and New Hire Orientation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years QA management experience in a food processing environment.Significant experience with quality, food safety and sanitation practices required. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant federal and state mandated regulations required such as FDA and USDA Rules and Regulations, Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), HACCP, GMPs, and Bioterrorism Act.
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field. Five years of proven QA management, food safety and sanitation experience in a food processing environment might be substituted for a portion of the degree.
  • Licenses/Certification: HACCP Certification, SQF Practitioner Certification, PCQI Certification.
