Quality Inspector
Consumer packaging printer is looking for Quality Inspectors for all shifts for our 2nd shift in Concord, NC.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
Complies with all company safety rules and workplace conduct requirements
Conducts First Article and in process inspection of printed labels and folding cartons
Inspects and dispositions raw materials, work in process, and finished goods
Uses various Measurement & Test Equipment (MTE) and performs calibrations of same
Assists manufacturing operators with interpreting job requirements
Monitors the entire production process to ensure product quality and accuracy
Assists in training other individuals and team members when required
Communicates with operators, supervisors, managers and customers
Demonstrates a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer
Satisfaction
Performs other job duties as assigned
Job Requirements
HS Diploma or GED required
Prior quality and/or package printing experience preferred
Possess excellent computer skills
Ability to lift 10 – 15 pounds continuously with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to read & interpret material specifications, job instructions, and other documents
Must have good visual acuity
Must have good color vision
Must have good mathematical skills
Must be able to read a ruler and understand fractions
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits
Must be able to work with and around inks, solvents, and other chemicals
Willingness to work overtime when needed, including weekends
Ability to work well with others and in a diverse workforce environment
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
