SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, the Quality Clerk role is responsible for verifying basic product conformance to company requirements. Performs visual inspections, identifies, and documents non-conformities with products or traceability, and segregates non-conformities. Assists with quality activities and meeting quality goals and objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Addressees with manufacturers missing or illegible certification documentation, shortages, or any other issues with parts/documentation.
Works with internal groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing) to resolve Certification document issues and part discrepancies.
Coordinates with customer on Return Material Authorizations (RMA) process.
Assists with internal rejections and Return to Vendor (RTV) process.
Communicates with vendors to obtain required information (RMA, Certs, Shipping method).
Proofreads paperwork for traceability for part number, lot number accuracy and test requirements before scanning into system.
Maintains certification files and digital file systems.
Completes the on-hold process, including managing events in system, and escalation to required departments.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
Detail-oriented, well organized, self-motivated, and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling applications.
Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree.
2+ years of work experience.
Knowledge of Quantum Component Control or another ERP system.
Previous experience in aerospace inspection or audits.
QA inspection knowledge in QA methods.
Knowledge of ISO/ASA audits.
OTHER:
