Adecco partnered with a luxury furniture retailer to hire a QA Inspector.

Location: Yaphank, NY

Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (1‑hour break)

Assignment Length: ~4 months, likely through the end of September

Attire & Safety:

  • Safety vest (provided)
  • Steel-toe shoes required (must be provided by the employee)

JOB SUMMARY: With general supervision, inspects all incoming products, including upholstery, wallcovering, window covering, privacy curtains, and rugs and other products on QA inspection Hold.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Inspects all fabrics or wall covering on our QA Inspection Hold Reports

• Inspect Sample Orders and New Product Mill Orders

• Inspects all quality Return Authorizations from the field.

• Enters detailed inspection report information on all orders inspected.

• Physically lifts and/or moves all bolts required to perform inspection.

• Reviews Commercial Match Requests

• Re-roll products, measure and test hang

• Maintains and keep test hang area clean.

MAGNITUDE AND RELATIONSHIP REPORTING:

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and may receive additional assignments from his team leader.

CONTACTS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION:

This position has contact with other employees at the warehouse level and resource management level, but has no contacts outside the organization, except when resources visit Quality Assurance.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of defect nomenclature

• Knowledge of DON

• Know how to run inspection frame.

• Know how to operate high-lo

• Work independently

• Good sense of color and must be able to differentiate between shades of the same color.

• Must be physically able to lift bolts of fabric and wall coverings (up to 65lbs and 54” to 72” in length)

• High school diploma

Fine print:

This is a W2 position.
