One second shift opening (3:30 pm – 12 am)

Job Description

The Quality Assurance Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and plays a key role in verifying parts meet quality standards according to specifications by performing various inspections and audits during the production process. They document results in reports/logs as required. He/she works closely with the production and the quality teams and is a critical thinker, a good listener and is willing to adapt to the situation as needed. A team player.

Primary Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels during the production process utilizing a variety of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, protractors, & optical comparators
  • Verify accuracy of SPC charts
  • Help train operators to use measuring equipment accurately and on accurate SPC charting procedures as needed
  • Report problems to Production and Quality management to prevent defects
  • Keeps accurate and organized documentation of all inspections and audits performed
  • Other tasks as needed

Behaviors, Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • Previous quality assurance experience
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing measurement systems; Micrometers, Calipers, Protractors, and Optical Comparators
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings to verify accuracy of parts
  • Ability to analyze problems and help find solutions
  • Working knowledge/experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-directed/works independently as needed
  • Strong aptitude and willingness to train and elevate others
  • Detail oriented. Mistakes happen, but needs to be the type of person who cares to learn from them. Sets a good example for others.

Preferred Experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus but not required
