MWS Wire Industries was founded in 1968 as a manufacturer of insulated and bare wire for customers in aerospace, defense and electronics industries. In the nearly five decades since its founding, the company has expanded into wire manufacturing for medical devices, automotive, musical instruments, sensors and consumer electronics, in addition to the original markets for magnet wire and special electrical conductors. In Nov 2020, MWS moved to a brand new facility in Oxnard, CA and are looking to grow with our fantastic employee base.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Assurance Inspector. The ideal candidate will be a detailed oriented professional and will support the following tasks:
Role Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and measuring materials and finished goods according to approved test methods and industry standards. QA Inspector is also responsible for recommending adjustments, rejecting non-conforming items, documenting test results, reporting findings to production and management teams, and ensuring compliance with quality guidelines.
Education:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
1. Good reading and math skills along with clear and legible handwriting.
2. Read and follow written or verbal instructions, including test methods, specifications, and production order requirements.
3. Basic typing and computer skills and communication skills.
Equipment Used:
1. Electrical, mechanical, and electronic test equipment, solder pots, and thermal testing ovens.
2. Quality Control (QC) Lab equipment, including microscopes, cross-sectioning equipment, calculators, and micrometers.
3. Shop equipment, electronic scales, forklift, and stock pickers.
4. Telephone, computer, photocopier/printer and MWS Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer system.
5. Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions:
1. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking.
2. Most essential functions require reaching or below shoulder level and simple grasping. Several functions require power grasping and reaching above shoulder level.
3. There may be exposure to lab chemicals such as acids and chemical strippers.

Schedule Types
- 4/10 Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts // 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 5/8 Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts // 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
