Job Overview
Join our team as a Quality Control Technician to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and service delivery for airport facilities. Under the direction of the Lead Quality Control Technician, you will evaluate contractor performance, conduct facility inspections, and address customer service requests while supporting emergency operations as needed.
What you will be doing:
Perform quality checks on facility mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Manage administrative tasks, including supply ordering, recordkeeping, and scheduling maintenance.
Assess service maintenance contracts for compliance with terms and quality standards.
Assist in developing service contracts by recommending terms, conditions, specifications, and updates.
Identify and address potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
Review contractor invoices and documentation for accuracy and completion.
Implement preventative measures to reduce future building maintenance issues.
Respond to service requests, verify issues, recommend solutions, and assess work quality.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Administrator to resolve disputes with contractors.
Input work order details into the Airport Total Asset Management System. Investigate and address customer complaints related to system failures or malfunctions.
Monitor performance metrics and perform trend analyses.
Inspect facilities and surrounding areas for maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance issues.
Evaluate ongoing work for compliance with safety and contract standards; follow up to resolve issues.
Perform maintenance assignments related to technical specialties when service contracts are unavailable.
Support the Environmental Affairs Department in observing potential environmental issues and reporting them.
What you need:
Completion of high school or equivalent.
Three (3) years of formal training or experience in one or more of the following areas:
Industrial plant operations and/or maintenance.
Industrial or commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
Industrial or commercial electronic and/or electrical systems.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for the above.
