Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Lead to oversee all quality assurance (QA) activities related to the implementation of the Workforce Software time and attendance system. This role will be responsible for leading a QA team, ensuring thorough testing of the system, and collaborating with stakeholders across technical and business teams. The QA Lead will develop and execute testing strategies, manage defect tracking, and ensure a smooth, high-quality implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Planning: Develop the overall QA strategy, testing approach, and detailed test plans for unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Test Execution & Management: Oversee and coordinate test execution, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to testing timelines.
Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution by collaborating with developers and business teams.
Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, business users, and project stakeholders to ensure test requirements are met and expectations are aligned.
Test Script Development: Design and develop test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on system requirements and user needs.
Test Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and implement tools/processes where applicable.
Monitoring & Reporting: Track QA progress, report on key metrics, and provide status updates to project leadership.
Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor QA analysts to ensure best practices are followed and testing standards are met.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure testing adheres to industry best practices and compliance standards, particularly for retail industry and labor law regulations.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in QA leadership roles, preferably with workforce management or time and attendance systems.
Expertise: Strong knowledge of Workforce Software (or similar WFM solutions), testing methodologies, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with API testing, SQL queries for data validation, and automation frameworks is a plus.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with retail industry workforce management implementations.
Knowledge of labor laws, union contracts, and compliance testing.
Certification in ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent QA certifications.
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, ALM) and defect tracking systems.
Knowledge of Kronos Workforce Central, Workforce Software, Monday.com.
