Responsibilities:
Lead the testing of large-scale systems, create test plans, cases, and strategies, and drive continuous improvement in the quality assurance processes
Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA Engineers (junior to mid-level)
Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks from scratch
Enhance the test case library to increase test case coverage
Oversee testing across the SDLC: functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
Drive test coverage for backend and frontend systems through UI and API automation.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality benchmarks
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
Monitor production quality with observability tools; investigate and triage defects using logs and dashboards
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across teams
Be a product owner in the test automation backlog
Manage the QA team’s internal interfaces with other functional groups
Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning quality, process, and cost to the QA manager
Translate the overall business strategy into day to day execution
Bring broad and long-term perspective to decisions
Develop, mentor and coach others to become stronger leaders, thinkers and innovators who can effectively advance ideas into action
Partner with direct reports to create an open, positive team environment whereby each member feels empowered and engaged to contribute at the highest possible level
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of Quality Assurance Engineering with web and SaaS applications in an agile/scrum environment with a focus on automation
5+ years in test automation: Building frameworks from scratch, Maintaining and extending existing test suites
1–3 years Leading QA teams and coaching junior and mid-level engineers
Deep understanding of QA Fundamentals with the ability to teach others
Mastery of API testing and related tools
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Proven success working cross functionally
Expertise in Agile/Scrum, including ceremonies and sprint-based testing
Fluent in SQL and relational databases, including testing applications
Proficient in TypeScript, Java, Python, JS, MySQL, MongoDB, Playwright, Karate, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Docker, Postman, TestRail
Familiarity with: Monitoring & Logs (Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic)
Nice-to-have: Cypress, TestCafe, WebdriverIO, Selenium/WebDriver, JMeter, k6, Gatling, OWASP ZAP or similar tools

Compensation:
The typical starting salary range for this position is: $100-120k.
The actual salary offer will consider multiple factors, including skills, experience, education, and location. Please note that the salary reflects the base amount only and does not include total compensation, such as discretionary bonuses and benefits.
