Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Quality Assurance Support opportunity in Richland, WA to support DOE Hanford.

Work Location: Work shall be conducted at the Hanford Field Office and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Department of Energy Hanford Field Office (HFO) requires general support services for the
for the Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment (AMSQ). AMSQ requires one full-time equivalent
general support contractor to provide QA expertise in the area of Safety and Non-
Safety Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure software engineering processes and methods meet
established Safety Software QA requirement of DOE O 414.1D and NQA-1.Site.
Work closely with the Hanford Field Office QA Technical Lead to assure oversight is appropriately planned and executed.
Work to HFO’s procedures for all oversight activities.
Obtain required HFO training.
Attend Prime Contractors’ SQA meetings and advise the QA Technical Lead.
Assist with the following:
o Evaluation of contractor corrective actions.
o Evaluation of corrective action closure.
o Document reviews of the Prime Contractors’ SQA program.
o Surveillance of Prime Contractors’ SQA program.
o Development of draft reviews/evaluations/surveillances of Prime Contractors.
o Document reviews and assessments of HFO suppliers’ SQA programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
Substantial experience (10+ years) in the following:
o The field of nuclear safety.
o The field of engineering.
o The field of software engineering
o Software quality best practices
o Software quality program development and implementation
o Assisting others to develop solutions to identified quality assurance problems, using proven approaches and industry standards
o Application of NQA-1 and other industry standards to quality assurance, particularly SQA
US Citizenship
Experience in evaluations and assessments, management reviews, appraisal techniques, and QA
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and experience with the Hanford site mission, contract structures, and general practices (preferred).
Excellent communication skills.

Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $105,000-$200,000 annually.
