Purpose of the Job The Quality Assurance Lead orchestrates and steers QA engineering efforts across programs, projects, and product initiatives. The role ensures a structured, risk-based and scalable approach to testing, with strong focus on planning, cross-team alignment, and end-to-end quality. Acting as a central QA point of contact, the role provides transparency on quality status, aligns stakeholders, and enables teams to deliver reliable, high-quality digital banking products.

Responsibilities of the Job – Define and lead QA and test strategy at program and multi-team level

  • Plan and coordinate QA activities across projects, teams, and releases
  • Align testing scope, priorities, and approaches across initiatives
  • Serve as the primary QA point of contact for product, engineering, and business stakeholders
  • Drive end-to-end test planning across systems and customer journeys
  • Oversee cross-team dependencies and ensure coordinated test execution
  • Ensure risk-based testing and sufficient coverage across all levels
  • Provide clear and actionable reporting on quality status, risks, and mitigation
  • Establish and track QA KPIs and performance metrics
  • Drive cross-team alignment across independent teams and facilitate QA collaboration forums
  • Support adoption of automation and modern testing practices
  • Continuously improve QA processes, standards, and tooling
  • Support defect triage and root cause analysis to strengthen quality outcomes

Education Level Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Demonstrated Competencies – Proven experience in a QA/Test Lead role in multi-team or program context

  • Experience leading and coordinating testing across initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration across product, tech, and business
  • Experience managing dependencies and end-to-end testing
  • Experience with automation and modern QA practices
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
  • Banking/fintech (nice to have)
  • Distributed teams experience (nice to have)

Language Competencies – Fluency in English, written and spoken

  • Nordic languages are a plus

Knowledge required – Understanding of QA strategies, test lifecycle, and program-level test planning

  • Knowledge of test automation approaches and frameworks (e.g. Playwright)
  • Can demonstrate knowledge about Agile/DevOps ways of working and CI/CD practices
  • Understanding of risk-based testing methodologies and quality metrics
  • Proven knowledge around integration, system, and end-to-end testing approaches
  • Understanding of modern architectures and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of banking/fintech domain (nice to have)
