Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Tester to support EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Enhancements with a strong foundation in manual testing and a growth mindset toward test automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in data pipeline/ETL testing, proficiency in SQL, and a basic understanding of Python programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough manual testing of data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of data flows.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand data transformation logic and business rules.
Write, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries to validate data at various stages of the pipeline.
Identify, document, and track defects.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience in data pipeline/ETL testing.
Proficiency in SQL, including ability to work with complex queries and joins.
Hands-on experience in manual data testing with a keen eye for detail.
Basic programming skills in Python—ability to understand, modify, and write simple scripts.
Familiarity with Agile development environments.
Nice to have – Data test automation frameworks – LCNC or OpenSource
