Role Description The Quality Assurance Lead is a part time/freelance role 100% remote. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes that support product development and innovation projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing QA plans, creating and updating quality documentation, performing reviews of product requirements and specifications, and coordinating test activities with cross-functional teams. The Quality Assurance Lead will conduct internal audits, monitor adherence to quality standards, identify process gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves training team members on quality practices, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve quality issues, and providing regular reports and metrics to leadership to ensure consistent, reliable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Quality Assurance and Quality Control skills, with experience designing and executing test and inspection processes.
  • Experience working with China contract manufacturing
  • Experience working in dynamic start up environment
  • Candidates should possess Quality Management experience, including developing quality frameworks, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the ability to apply regulatory and compliance standards to product development workflows.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Auditing skills, including planning, conducting, and documenting internal audits and follow-up actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading quality initiatives in product development, manufacturing, or technology-focused environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, CAPA, process mapping, risk assessments) is beneficial.
