Role Overview
We seek a Quality Assurance Lead to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable IT solutions, particularly in software testing for tax applications. This role involves overseeing manual and automated testing for business-as-usual (BAU) operations and large-scale transformation projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute manual and automated testing for tax software solutions.
Ensure compliance with US federal and state tax regulations, including IRS guidelines.
Validate tax calculations, reporting, and electronic filing for accuracy.
Develop and execute test plans, cases, and automation scripts (Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
Collaborate with internal tax teams to define testing objectives and resolve audit findings.
Identify and implement test automation opportunities for efficiency gains.
Maintain QA documentation, ensuring clarity for stakeholders.
Stay updated on software testing trends and taxation regulations.
Manage and mentor a global QA team of employees and contingent workers.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of Quality Assurance experience, focusing on software testing for US clients.
1+ year of experience in a Lead role.
6+ years in manual testing.
4+ years of Selenium experience.
2–3 years of US Partnership Tax experience (Form 1040, Form 1065, W-2, Social Security numbers).
Strong expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and test planning.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, JIRA, and test automation frameworks.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience in app-based automation testing.
SQL/DB knowledge.
Performance testing for highly available systems.
Prior experience in end-to-end product deployment.
ISTQB certification or Agile/DevOps experience.
