Job Title: Quality Control / Production Quality Team Manager
Location: Lockport, LA
Position Overview:
Bollinger is seeking a dedicated and experienced FRC Quality Control / Production Quality Team (PQT) Manager to lead the PQT function within the test and evaluation phase of shipbuilding projects. This role will oversee functional testing and system commissioning for a variety of electrical, electronic, and vessel systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Oversight
Manage the Production Quality Team responsible for the inspection, evaluation, and testing of vessel and electrical/electronic systems.
Supervise PQT activities across in-process and final stage inspections.
Testing & Evaluation
Coordinate and conduct functional and system tests for various shipboard systems.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures, inspection standards, and evaluation protocols.
Troubleshoot technical problems related to system testing and offer alternative solutions when needed.
Customer & Compliance Interface
Identify, coordinate, and fulfill quality testing requirements for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure testing aligns with ABS, USCG, and other relevant standards and regulations.
Reporting & Documentation
Oversee test documentation, reporting, and quality monitoring processes.
Ensure consistent execution of quality checks and validation of system performance.
Required Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or shipyard environment performing quality functions related to shipboard system testing.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
Strong understanding of quality control requirements and documentation.
Familiarity with ABS/USCG regulations and compliance standards.
Knowledge of shipboard vessel systems, including patrol and military vessels.
Well-versed in electronics and electrical systems, particularly in maritime applications.
