Position Overview:
As a Senior Software QA Engineer specializing in mobile development, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications across various platforms (iOS and Android). You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and execute manual and automated tests. Your experience and expertise will help lead the QA efforts, ensuring that we deliver flawless and high-performance mobile products to our users.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy:
Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for mobile applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across different devices and OS versions.
Define and implement mobile testing best practices, including test automation frameworks and continuous integration.
Manual & Automated Testing:
Perform both manual and automated functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing for iOS and Android mobile applications.
Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
Cross-Platform Testing:
Ensure that applications are tested across a wide range of devices and screen sizes to ensure a consistent user experience.
Validate mobile application performance, usability, and stability across different environments (Wi-Fi, cellular data, etc.).
Collaboration & Leadership:
Mentor and guide junior QA team members to elevate overall testing practices and quality standards.
Work closely with product, design, and development teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on quality, usability, and functionality.
Lead regular test status meetings, reporting on progress, risks, and any quality-related concerns.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the QA workflow and advocate for best practices in mobile development.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in mobile testing tools, techniques, and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
2-4 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on mobile application testing (iOS and Android).
Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, Espresso, XCUITest, etc.).
Proficiency in mobile testing tools such as Charles Proxy, Fiddler, and other performance and network analysis tools.
Solid understanding of mobile app development lifecycle, from design through to release.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab).
Strong knowledge of mobile-specific testing challenges (e.g., performance, battery usage, network conditions).
Experience with defect tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience with load and performance testing for mobile apps.
Experience with security testing for mobile applications.
Knowledge of mobile accessibility testing and guidelines.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Pay: $110,000.00 – $200,000.00 per month
