Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control & Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality inspection, process control, and compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control and Inspections:

Perform manual (hand tools) and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspections for products.
Conduct random inspections for operators to ensure quality standards are met.
Understand and comply with customer and company-specific inspection and testing requirements.
Utilize statistical analysis and quality tools to meet buyoff acceptance criteria.
Assist in coordinating and executing inspection and buyoff activities.
Advise, train, and coordinate operators on inspection techniques and requirements.
Calibrate and maintain company-owned measurement and test equipment.
Assist with the calibration of employee-owned tools according to calibration guidelines.

Quality Assurance and System Maintenance:

Assist in maintaining the quality system to comply with ISO accreditation requirements.
Participate in internal quality audits and help design methods for process control and improvement.
Execute and analyze quality reporting measures for management review.
Develop and implement methods for testing, inspection, and process improvement.
Assist with the development and execution of quality plans, test methodologies, documents, and inspection reports.

Documentation and Quality Plans:

Assist in identifying and resolving problems, reporting losses, and driving continuous improvement in the department.
Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for product development and manufacturing.
Help ensure certifications, such as material, finish, heat treat, machining, welding, or miscellaneous certifications, are maintained according to job requirements.

Corrective Actions:

Assist with the operation of the corrective action system, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
Respond to customer corrective action requests and request supplier corrective actions when necessary.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Other Responsibilities:

Follow work order instructions, including blueprint reading and geometric tolerances.
Perform miscellaneous duties and participate in training sessions as assigned by a supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring routine maintenance is completed.
Safely use material handling equipment such as cranes and carts, adhering to safety guidelines.
Follow all company safety rules, including machine operation and guarding procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of experience in quality control or a related field.
Proficiency in using manufacturing measurement and test equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tolerances, and geometric tolerances.
Strong knowledge of inspection methods, control techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and statistical analysis methods.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience with application/auditing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work well with others and maintain effective working relationships across teams.
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Team player with a positive and diplomatic attitude.

Tenure Requirements:

Seeking candidates with stable employment history (no job hoppers or contractors).
At least 4-5 years of tenure at each previous company is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Aerospace industry background preferred.
Experience with machining large parts is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
