Purpose
Set up RMA Team for success by ensuring that formulations, certifications and customer information is reviewed, transferred and approved in a timely and correct manner to ensure customer satisfaction and RMA compliance with customer specific and regulatory requirements. Ensure Lab and Quality systems are robust, compliant and efficient. Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
Ensure consistency of RMA products through use of Control Plans and Standard Operating Conditions (SOC’s) that ensure our customers receive the same product every time. Promote and lead standardization and relentless continuous process improvement by promoting best practices through Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT’s).

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
1. Safety
i. Supervise and enforce safety guidelines in the laboratory.
ii. Work with S & E Coordinator, where necessary, to update PPE requirements.
iii. Implement necessary environmental controls to avoid pollution and contamination.

2. Quality & Product Development
i. Supervise customers receive same formulations and finished product every time, following Product & Process Control Plans.
ii. Coordinate with RHA/RMA Commercial Teams to ensure all customer requirements are being consistently met.
iii. Facilitate Technology Team approval and ownership of formulations that are utilized in Control Plans.
iv. Work with Technology Team and Procurement organization to promote standardization of raw materials where possible.
v. Use data and the Voice of Customer (internal and external) to determine where improvements are necessary, initiate corrective action and measure success.
vi. Accurate transfer of sample formulations, production requirements, testing and approvals, packaging requirements, etc. to the RMA production team to ensure the correct production of RMA products every time.
vii. Maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 17025 quality systems (documentation, internal audit, registrar audits, etc.)
viii. Responsible for coordinating the maintaining of Lab equipment through daily control checks and service needs of Lab equipment.
ix. Coordination of tasks for Lab Tech’s by prioritizing work load.
x. Time and attendance verification for Lab personnel.
xi. Oversee calibration of Lab equipment.
xii. Ensure that internal and external corrective actions are robust and complete.
xiii. Promote and support continuous improvement throughout the company.
xiv. Review suppliers Certificates of Analysis.
xv. Support Sales Team through recommendations of appropriate RMA product for specific applications, customer visits and presentations as required.
3. Operations
i. Ensure plant is “starting where they stopped” on all production runs and that SOC’s are updated in timely manner to reflect actual, optimal and sustainable run conditions.
ii. Support Plant Manager on KPI goals as related to process & quality improvements through CIT team leadership and involvement.
iii. Supports utilization of Company ERP’s systems, (Control Plan, SOC, In-Process Sheet, Stock Requisition, Raw Material Audit Form, etc.) and ensures correct and consistent use on shop floor.
iv. Drive improvements via Management by Walking Around (MBWA).
v. Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
vi. Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

1. Compounding, formulation, specimen molding and testing and data reporting experience.
2. Root cause analysis.
3. Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication.
5. Detail oriented, disciplined, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
7. Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

1. Education:
a. Bachelor’s Degree required. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree

2. Experience:
a. 5+ years related laboratory/quality/plastic processing experience.
b. 2 – 4 years of managing laboratory team.

3. Systems Experience:
a. Microsoft suite: Outlook, Excel – Required (Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint preferred)

Work Environment / Conditions
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to work in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
