We’re partnered with a leading food & beverage manufacturing organization to find a Quality Assurance Manager for a 6-month contract. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for leading the QA function to ensure product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across plant operations.
What you’ll do:
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team and daily QA operations
Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, CFIA, GMPs, and customer quality standards
Oversee QA processes including lab operations, sanitation, water treatment, and raw material/product quality
Drive internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs and the plant’s Food Safety & Quality Plans
Act as SQF Practitioner and maintain program integrity, documentation, and communication
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while promoting a safe, efficient work environment
Partner cross-functionally to meet production, quality, and cost objectives
Who you are:
5+ years of QA leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (food/beverage preferred)
Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, and regulatory standards (CFIA/FDA)
Experience managing audits, compliance, and QA systems
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
SQF Practitioner certification and HACCP training strongly preferred
