Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in Sterling, VA at Crane Solutions LLC
Plans, coordinates, and directs the quality program designed to ensure excellence in meeting our customers’ expectations by performing the following duties. This position requires the capacity to make independent decisions with a high degree of attention to detail. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, as well as any other duties that may be assigned:
· Maintains Quality procedures and work instructions.
· Advance Quality Planning.
· Responds to all customer quality issues.
· Performs quality audits on subcontractors.
· Ensures all quality documents are complete and up-to-date.
· P.P.A.P.
· Attend and participates in various meetings, including, but not limited to: pre- production and management meetings.
· Reviews and approves monthly quality reports, blue prints, and engineering changes that affect quality.
· Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications.
· Plans, promotes and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
· Visits all customers as well as subcontractors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Directly supervises Quality Technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
· To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed above.
· Must have working knowledge of ISO, SPC, GD&T, CMM, Problem Solving techniques and APQP.
· FARO Arm experience and knowledge a plus.
· IATF 16949 certification preferred.
Education and/or Experience:
Four years related experience and/or education and training. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
