We are looking for an experienced Manager – QA (Knit), to lead quality assurance activities across suppliers and factories, ensuring products meet customer requirements, approved specifications, technical standards, testing requirements, and QMS procedures from development through final shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall QA/QC activities across assigned suppliers and factories, ensuring compliance with QMS and customer quality standards.
- Review development, fitting, PP and production samples, including workmanship, construction, measurements, fitting, patterns, grading and specifications.
- Monitor production through pre-production, inline, pre-final and final inspections, ensuring approved standards are maintained.
- Identify quality risks, lead root-cause analysis, CAPA and continuous improvement to reduce defects, inspection failures and customer complaints.
- Guide and evaluate factory QA/QC teams, improve quality systems and provide technical training and solutions.
- Manage AQL, product/material testing, third-party inspections, inspection reports, re-inspections and corrective actions.
- Handle customer quality concerns, complaints and NCRs, providing professional technical communication and permanent preventive solutions.
- Lead the local QA team, allocate factory visits and inspection responsibilities, and ensure effective coordination among QA, Technical, Merchandising, suppliers, factories and customers.
- Maintain quality reports and monitor supplier performance, trends and critical quality risks.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Knit Garment Manufacturing & Quality Management; woven experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing, workmanship, production processes, fitting, pattern, grading and size specifications.
- Excellent knowledge of AQL and garment inspection procedures.
- Experience with third-party testing/inspection agencies and supplier/factory management.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to communicate directly with international customers.
- Willingness to travel regularly to factories across Bangladesh.
