Location: Umargām

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, BRC, GMP, or other relevant industry standards .

Monitor and enforce quality control processes throughout the manufacturing cycle, from raw materials to finished goods.

Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality checks on production lines to ensure adherence to specifications.

Establish quality KPIs (e.g., defect rates, customer complaints, process capability) and ensure continuous improvement in product quality.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for quality issues, working closely with cross-functional teams.

Supplier & Customer Quality Management:

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming raw materials (e.g., plastic resins, additives, colorants) meet quality standards.

Address customer complaints, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.

Work with sales, customer service, and R&D to ensure quality expectations align with market and consumer demands.

Continuous Improvement & Training:

Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles to improve quality processes and reduce waste.

Lead training programs for plant personnel on quality standards, best practices, and regulatory compliance .

Foster a culture of quality awareness and encourage team participation in quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Plastics),

Experience:

12-15 years of experience in a quality management role within plastic manufacturing, homeware, or consumer goods industries .

Strong knowledge of plastic molding processes (e.g.,
injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming ) and material properties.

Experience with ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, and other relevant quality standards .

Hands-on experience in process validation, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and quality tools (FMEA, 8D, PDCA, etc.) .

Skills &

Competencies:

Strong leadership and people management skills to lead a quality team of inspectors and engineers .

Ability to analyze data and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Proficiency in quality management software (QMS, ERP systems, Minitab, or similar tools) .

Preferred

Certifications:

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.

Work Environment & Other Details:

This role is based at a manufacturing plant and requires working closely with production and technical teams.

Occasional travel may be required for supplier audits, customer visits, or corporate meetings.

Must be comfortable working in a factory setting with exposure to plastic processing machinery, raw materials, and quality testing labs .
