About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead food safety, quality assurance and regulatory compliance across our sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations. This role is responsible for ensuring our products, facilities and processes consistently meet customer, regulatory and industry standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (e.g. HACCP and ISO 22000) across food processing, warehousing, logistics and distribution operations.
- Oversee quality assurance, hygiene, sanitation, environmental monitoring and food safety programmes within the Company's food processing facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory, certification and customer requirements.
- Manage customer audits, site visits, supplier assurance programmes, product specification submissions and customer quality requirements to maintain customer confidence and support business growth.
- Lead supplier approval, performance evaluation, complaint management and audit programmes, including food ingredient and packaging suppliers, to ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable food regulations, including food labelling, ingredient declarations, allergen management, product claims, packaging requirements and certification standards, and act as the primary contact for inspections, audits and communications with regulatory authorities including FEHD and CFS.
- Oversee warehouse, transportation and cold chain quality management processes to ensure product integrity, traceability and food safety throughout storage and distribution activities.
- Lead product testing, environmental monitoring, customer complaint investigations, food safety incident management, root cause analysis and product recall preparedness programmes, including the review and approval of product labels, packaging artwork, claims and certifications for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead and develop the QA team while partnering closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Sales and other stakeholders to strengthen food safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
What We’re Looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in food quality assurance, food safety or compliance management, preferably within food manufacturing, processing, importing, distribution or FMCG industries.
- Proven managerial experience leading quality teams and managing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of food safety management systems including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP and related standards.
- Solid understanding of Hong Kong food regulations, food labelling requirements, product claims and food safety compliance.
- Experience managing customer audits, regulatory inspections and third-party certification audits.
- Hands-on experience in supplier quality management, packaging compliance, traceability, product recall and cold chain operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP, WMS or Quality Management Systems (QMS) will be an advantage.
