Summary:
Seeking a Quality Control Manager with Structural Steel Experience to manage the day to day Quality Control program in our fabrication shop.
Candidate MUST be familiar with AISC and AWS requirements and operate as a hands on manager/inspector within the shop. Strong preference to an individual with structural steel fabrication background/experience.
CWI strongly preferred or willingness to obtain.
Responsibilities:
Continued AISC certification. Candidate would be responsible for ensuring all program requirements and met and enforced as represented in our Quality Management System
Track all non-conformances
Maintain and develop PQR’s, WPS’s and ensure welder qualifications are kept up to date.
Maintain all records to ensure traceability throughout fabrication process.
Work hand in hand with production personnel to meet schedule demands.
Oversee work and inspections of subordinate inspector or inspectors.
Perform visual inspections of all fabricated materials to AWS D1.1
Maintain Welder Certifications and testing.
Quality Issue Management:
Investigate and analyze root causes of quality issues, including customer complaints, internal non-conformances, and production errors.
Implement corrective actions to address identified quality problems and prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with production teams to identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
