Quality Assurance Manager – Aerospace Industry
Our esteemed client is currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join their dynamic team in Charleston, SC. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for professionals with substantial experience in the aerospace sector and a strong background in quality assurance processes. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in steering their quality assurance department to new heights, ensuring that our aerospace products not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance standards and testing models to ensure their products are reliable and fit for purpose.
Coordinate with various teams including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to enhance overall quality compliance with NADCAP standards, fostering a collaborative environment focused on quality excellence.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to minimize waste and enhance productivity, thus improving the overall efficiency of their operations.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with standards and performance from the quality department.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred.
At least 5-8 years of experience in a regulated industry as part of a quality assurance team.
Mandatory NADCAP process experience.
Six Sigma or Lean training (Green or Black Belt preferred).
US Citizenship is required for this position.
Skills:
NADCAP Experience: Proficiency in national aerospace and defense contractors accreditation program standards.
Six Sigma/Lean Trained: Utilizing these methodologies to analyze and improve production processes.
