We're a leading recruitment company in Sri Lanka looking for a Quality Assurance Manager – Food Manufacturing for a leading company based in Veyangoda.

A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead its quality function and ensure the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality across its manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead quality assurance activities across production, raw material inspection, process control, and finished product evaluation.
  • Manage internal and external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Investigate customer complaints, quality deviations, and non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team while promoting a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and prepare reports for senior management.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in Quality Management or Food Safety will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry, including at least 2-3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Thorough knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience in managing audits, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
