Job Functions:
Oversee daily Quality Assurance activities across all plant areas.
Compile and review data for trends and deviations, and execute corrective and preventative measures.
Collaborate with operations management to address product and processing issues.
Ensure accountability at the front line, providing immediate reaction and resolution to situations.
Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processes.
Utilize measurement systems, process control programs, and auditing processes to ensure customer expectations are met.
Coordinate collaborative testing and sample checks.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and USDA personnel.
Comply with section 2.1.2.4 of the SQF Standard, overseeing the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of SQF systems, including food safety and quality fundamentals and planning. Ensure the integrity of SQF systems and communicate essential information to relevant personnel.
Arrange and conduct external and internal audits for food safety and HACCP programs as required.
Develop and implement training programs for Food Safety and Quality.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in food science or chemistry with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a laboratory or R&D environment is preferred.
Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations and standards related to food manufacturing.
HACCP Certification.
Better Process Control Certificate.
Certified as a Preventative Control Qualified Individual.
Exceptional verbal, written, and listening skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
