Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Quality Assurance Manager at Morgans Fine Fish. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, implementing quality standards, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with certifications and regulations.
The QA Manager will manage a programme of quality assurance and technical activities to ensure that products manufactured and supplied by the company are safe, legal, authentic and of high quality and meet or exceed customer expectations. The QMS has been fully established for several years and the key goal is to maintain the standards that have been achieved and through continuous improvement activities, and to enhance the system where possible. You will support the production team regarding understanding, implementing, and maintaining good manufacturing practices in the factory in accordance with the company procedures and BRC standards. The role requires the QA Manager to maintain the company’s BRC accreditation including maintenance of the quality manual.
Key Responsibilities
BRCGS and retailer audit management
Lead/ Participate in customer and third-party audits, completion of corrective actions and root cause analysisÂ
Provide Training and guidance in Technical polices & documents
Supplier management and performance review
Lead and Manage HACCP team and activities
Provide leadership and manage the quality function on site
Participate in the internal audit programme
Develop, implement and maintain companies’ policies and procedures
Support the NPD function on site
Maintain customer specifications and label design requirements in QA file and on-line where required by the customer
Instigate and manage product recall
Dealing with Suppliers and maintenance of supplier approval records
Promote a Food safety and quality culture within the business
Work closely with the production team to promote and achieve best practice for food safety and production efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related field
Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role is advantageous but not essential.
Experience leading a BRC Audit
 Strong knowledge of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Experience with retail and supplier collaboration software such as Zoom and Aldi APP
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
