Description: Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and direct the daily operations of the QA department to join their fast-paced team in Spokane WA.
Compensation for the Quality Assurance Manager:
$83,200 – $99,840 Annually DOE
Monday – Thursday, 5 am – 3:30 pm (4 – 10 hour shifts)
Benefits available include medical, dental, vision, 401k with 4% matching, PTO, holiday pay
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:
Lead and prioritize the QA team’s daily tasks and assignments.
Ensure timely, accurate, and thorough inspections.
Troubleshoot quality issues and support production to minimize downtime.
Align QA priorities with production schedules in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
Communicate quality and production issues to relevant teams.
Maintain and update ISO 9001 quality management systems and associated documentation.
Ensure compliance with all quality procedures and updates.
Lead internal and external audits, assist with corrective actions.
Oversee and perform First Article Inspections (FAIs), in-process, final, and AS9100 inspections.
Resolve discrepancies and collaborate with production to correct issues.
Maintain logs of QA tools, instruments, and calibration activities.
Ensure all tools, fixtures, and instruments are properly cataloged and calibrated.
Maintain documentation for calibration certificates and relevant fixtures.
Track and report quality trends, non-conformances, and corrective actions to management.
Communicate with suppliers and customers on quality concerns.
Provide regular feedback on QA progress and areas of concern.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Quality Assurance Manager:
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and quality control processes.
Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIs), in-process inspections, and audits.
Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and manage QA team priorities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
