Opportunity
Our client has a full time opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Roseville, MI. This is a contract position with the opportunity for direct hire. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of quality initiatives in the manufacturing systems. This candidate must have a thorough understanding of customer expectations and lead the internal effort to meet those expectations.

Responsibilities
Generate and maintain APQP and PPAP documentation
Failure/root cause investigation of all product failures and document corrective actions in 8D format
Work with customers and suppliers related to quality issues
Assist in training personnel regarding quality issues
Review supplier processes and partner with them on process improvement opportunities
Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949
Collect, analyze and interpret technical information and data to improve quality
Qualifications
2+ years of Quality Engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Understanding of FEMA and GD&T
2+ years of experience in medium to high volume Tier 1 manufacturing environment
Must have working knowledge of PPAP and APQP
Strong computer skills
Must be willing to travel locally to customers (25% aprox. travel)
Strong analytical skills
Benefits
