Compensation: pay up to $102,000-$130,000
Quebec, Canada residents can also reside near Mississauga, Nicolet, or Athelstan.
Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance (“QA”) Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the QC environments for bottled water production at multiple sites in Canada. The role involves leading the implementation of the Primo Brands Waters Quality System and continuously improving procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for raw materials and finished products.
Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling, and sanitation activities.
Prepare for and resolve all Company Quality Audits.
Track, analyze, and lead initiatives for quality and customer complaint issues within the plant.
Serve as the primary plant liaison with the Customer Service Center, Consumer Affairs, and consumers regarding quality and complaints.
Lead quality initiatives within the plant, including the implementation of the Primo Brands Waters Quality System.
Maintain permits and licenses for the plant.
Manage budgeting, purchasing, and inventory of plant supplies such as filters, chemicals, and lab supplies.
Oversee Food Safety Quality Systems (FSQS), FSSC 22000 standards, and regulatory requirements across multiple sites.
Represent the plant in quality forums and initiatives as needed.
Coordinate with key vendors and develop good relationships.
Manage the performance and development of the Plant QA Department.
Develop initiatives to improve plant performance and ensure compliance with standards.
Provide daily leadership to the QA Department and liaise with Corporate QA, laboratories, and regulatory agencies (CBWA, CFIA, FDA, IBWA, EPA, etc.).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biological sciences;
Master’s preferred. Other technical degrees may be considered.
5-8 years of QA management experience in beverage or food products.
Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
Experience managing microbiology laboratories.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, HACCP, sanitation, and hygienic design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in administrative and computer skills.
Self-directed, proactive, and mature management qualities.
