Location: Farmers Branch, TX 75244
Salary: $100K Annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (schedule may vary based on business needs)
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will lead and manage all quality systems, compliance programs, and product safety initiatives within a fast-paced nutritional supplement manufacturing environment. This role oversees quality operations across powder and liquid manufacturing, including raw materials, production processes, packaging, and finished goods to ensure consistent product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, policies, and quality protocols
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external regulatory and customer audits
- Maintain documentation systems to ensure full traceability and transparency
- Oversee quality control processes for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
- Manage quality operations across powder and liquid supplement manufacturing lines
- Ensure proper microbiological, chemical, and physical testing procedures
- Lead, train, and develop QA and QC teams
- Establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs
- Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Approve and monitor suppliers to ensure quality standards are met
- Oversee incoming material inspections and vendor compliance programs
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and consistency
- Utilize data analysis and quality metrics to support decision-making
- Support new product development and commercialization efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of QA/QC experience in food, beverage, or dietary supplement manufacturing
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong experience working in cGMP-certified environments
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, NSF/cGMP standards, HACCP, and food safety systems
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working on the production floor as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and controls
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations
- Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work at heights when required
- Ability to maintain visual acuity for reading labels and operating equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow safety procedures
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
