Quality Assurance Manager
Manages and oversees all quality assurance functions, ensuring that the Quality Management System is established, implemented, and maintained and that regulatory and customer quality requirements are met.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review, amend and certify the Quality Policy Manual and Procedures.
- Support and oversee the Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) program.
- Report to the management committee on the performance of the quality system.
- Ensure that all quality requirements of the Quality System and Transport Canada’s regulations are addressed through Management Review Meetings.
- Ensure all special processes meet stated requirements.
- Ensure that training is implemented, and records are maintained.
- Assign certified or competent inspectors when specialized inspections are required. Appoint and authorize inspectors to certify manufactured or distributed products.
- Manage internal and external nature.
- Monitor all reported rejections and actions as required.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to the product, process and / or the quality system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and/or the quality system.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels and follow through on their implementation.
- Contribute to contract reviews as required.
- Contribute to team effort by maintaining a positive attitude among team members.
- Supervise and provide guidance to each member of the quality assurance team.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to his direct reports and follow up on their completion.
- Participate in the MRB reporting process.
- Participate in contract review.
- Review POs for quality requirements
- Oversee supplier approval
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in implementation and/or maintenance of quality systems (including ISO9001:2008+AS9100C).
- Experience in implementing Transport Canada regulations, EASA requirements and other applicable regulatory entities.
- Experience in the performance or supervision of technical activities of similar complexity to those undertaken by the organization.

Education:
- Minimum college diploma in an aerospace or quality engineering related field.

- US Citizen, position requires minimal travel to operations in US and Canada.
