Fylde Fresh and Fabulous Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our technical team at our Leeds site (LS12). As a leading potato grower and raw vegetable processor, we are dedicated to supplying high-quality potato, carrot, and onion products to our customers. Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Effectively manage, audit, and motivate the Technical Team to ensure high performance and adherence to quality standards.
Hygiene Standards: Assist in the development, implementation, and management of hygiene standards and procedures to maintain a safe and clean production environment.
Supplier Management: Manage existing suppliers and approve new ones, including setting raw material specifications and conducting intake checks.
Training and Development: Train and educate staff according to business needs, customer requirements, and legislative standards.
Quality Audits: Review, audit, and challenge factory operations, product quality, and quality systems to ensure compliance with food safety and product integrity standards.
Factory Audits: Conduct factory audits to ensure all areas comply with internal and external hygiene standards, reporting any anomalies found.
Quality Monitoring: Oversee the QA team in checking goods in and monitoring progress throughout the business.
Environmental Swabbing and Product Analysis: Conduct and organize environmental swabbing and product analysis as scheduled.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience managing a technical team in the food industry.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of BRC requirements and food safety regulations.
Skills: Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.
Shift Details:
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The technical team operates 7 days per week, so flexibility may be required.
