Pacific International has been retained by a global Fortune 200 manufacturing company currently navigating a transformation partnered with strategic growth. With transformation at the forefront of their organizational strategy, they have retained Pacific on a search for a Quality Manager to sit in a key manufacturing facility.
Currently, they are searching for a Quality Manager to transform the quality function at a strategically significant manufacturing facility. You’ll focus heavily on developing a strong team as well as transforming the site’s quality management system. The ideal candidate is a change focused leader who can engage and empower the team to improve.
Essential Functions:
Own and improve the quality system in order to meet all expectations at the site
Consolidate input (performance, findings, internal and external feedback) on QMS and uses it to develop and execute on an improvement strategy.
Ensure site maintains ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, and AS 9100 certifications.
Maintain compliance to AS13100 aerospace industry standards.
Monitor and improve adherence to the quality systems supported by the group through internal auditing, tracking of compliance KPIs, and sharing results with site leadership.
Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives through disciplined Six Sigma methodology and Operational Excellence framework.
Collaborate with resources at other sites globally.
Help drive problem solving culture. Train and lead problem solving activity using problem solving tools as it relates to reduction or elimination of problems.
Implement quality culture and motivate people to perform and produce to the best of their ability with regard to quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
At least 5 years experience working in Quality position at a manufacturing location
At least 3 years experience as a people leader
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, AS 9100 and AS 13100 standards
Continuous improvement and project management experience preferred
Excellent program time management skills
Excellent leadership skills
Exhibit understanding of the cross-functional relationships between inter-company groups and the expertise required for project or program completion
