Job Description
My client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager for their food manufacturing facility located in the KC area. Relocation assistance is available, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of the company’s Quality, Food Safety, and Product Regulatory initiatives. The manager will lead all quality control and assurance systems to promote customer satisfaction, food safety, and a positive quality culture.
QA Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Oversee all aspects of the Quality Assurance Department related to plant operations, providing leadership and professional development for direct reports, fostering open discussion and teamwork.
Manage staff responsible for product batch testing and other quality control tests.
Lead and participate in plant quality audits.
Develop, maintain, and report operational information to management, ensuring regulatory review and reporting requirements are met.
Investigate specification results and process deviations.
Ensure GMP and safety standards are maintained.
Handle customer feedback related to quality issues, maintaining records of resolutions, and collaborating with vendors, customers, and staff to resolve issues.
Stay informed on the latest manufacturing technologies, systems, and quality practices, maintaining a thorough understanding of all products, raw materials, packaging, and operational standards.
Respond to urgent food safety and health issues, executing strategic plans and initiatives.
Oversee product hold and release procedures.
Schedule and oversee corrective actions, supporting teams to ensure proper documentation, implementation, and effectiveness measurement.
Desired
Skills and Experience:
2-5 years of experience in food production or manufacturing.
Experience managing and implementing QA, Food Safety, or Product Regulatory initiatives.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FDA, and USDA requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
