SUMMARY: The Lead of QA/QC Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within the manufacturing operations, leading the QA/QC team and ensuring that processes, procedures, and outputs meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. The QA/QC Lead serves as a key liaison between departments and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and elevate product quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and supervise the QA/QC team, to ensure consistent applicant of quality standards across all manufacturing operations.
Trains QA/QC staff on quality procedures, regulatory changes, and best practices.
Sets the schedule of QA/QC technicians, monitors adherence to the weekly schedule, their attendance and implement action plans to improve the team’s performance.
Ensures the Quality Management System (QMS) is effectively implemented, maintained, and aligned with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Reviews datasheets, and competent specifications to validate material against the brand specifications and verify the product regulatory information using the company’s internal systems, the State Track and Trace System (METRC) and other documents like the Testing Facilities Certificates of Analysis (COA).
Analyzes dimensions, functionality, and performance to confirm adherence to established standards of finished goods, intermediate products and packaging materials.
Monitors and updates quality tracking databases and dashboards; communicate material status and quality updates to relevant departments and leadership.
Conducts quality investigations for non-conforming products and recommends corrective action / preventative action (CAPA) plan.
Identifies and recommends process and quality improvements; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance operational excellence.
Plans and conducts internal audits, document audit findings, and coordinate follow-up actions for sustained compliance.
Develops and implements process checklists, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and non-conformance reporting tools.
Supports cross-departmental initiatives and contribute to company-wide goals related to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Performs additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
Regularly perform various repetitive motions such as carrying, grasping, lifting, walking, standing, bending/crouching, stooping, reaching and stretching.
Must be able to move, carry, lift and push up to 30 pounds.
Grasping, holding and other repetitive movements involving wrists and hands are required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
Basic Excel knowledge required.
Complaint Handling and Corrective & Preventive Actions knowledge is preferred.
