Role Details
Temporary (12 month maternity cover). 36 hour working week over 5 days (Mon‑Fri). Hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week in office.
Band 7 (£52,845 – £61,466).
About
The Role
You will lead and deliver ACCORD’s quality management strategy and QA programme; manage regulatory inspections and act as the primary sponsor QA contact; provide expert regulatory and quality assurance advice across NHS Lothian and the University of Edinburgh; line‑manage QA staff and deliver specialist training (including GCP); oversee audits, SOPs, risk assessment and continuous quality improvement activities.
What You’ll Bring
- Postgraduate qualification in a clinical or life sciences subject.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical research regulation and GCP.
- Proven experience in QA leadership, regulatory inspection readiness and quality systems.
- Strong communication, influencing and leadership skills.
