Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Tester with 4 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring the overall quality of our products through manual testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Collaborate with development teams to ensure defects are properly addressed.
Perform thorough testing on software applications to ensure quality, stability, and functionality.
Test across different platforms, browsers, and devices, including mobile applications.
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and inconsistencies.
Perform smoke, sanity, and regression testing for every release.
Participate in sprint planning meetings and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
Generate test reports and assist in the release cycle by providing quality metrics.
Ensure that the final product meets the defined business requirements and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
Proficiency in writing detailed and clear test cases and bug reports.
Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Quality Center).
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
Hands-on experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of basic SQL for database testing.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Experience in mobile and web application testing.
Knowledge of automation testing concepts is a plus.
Exposure to performance testing tools is a plus.
