Position Overview
We are seeking a Contractor QA Engineer with strong manual testing skills and basic API testing knowledge.
In this role, you will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Testing : Develop, execute, and document comprehensive manual test cases based on product requirements and design specifications.
Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify software defects.
Log, track, and verify issues using established bug tracking systems.
API Testing : Conduct basic API testing to verify the functionality, reliability, and performance of RESTful and/or SOAP services.
Utilize tools (e, Postman) to validate API endpoints, response codes, and data integrity.
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues.
Collaboration & Reporting : Work with cross-functional teams to review specifications and identify test scenarios.
Prepare clear and detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Provide timely feedback on product quality and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in manual software testing with a keen eye for detail.
Basic hands-on experience with API testing and understanding of API protocols.
Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g, JIRA, TestRail).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as a contractor in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test case management and reporting tools.
Basic knowledge of automation testing frameworks (a plus, but not required).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
