We are looking to recruit a Quality Assurance Officer working in our busy Technical Department.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that product safety, quality and legality is maintained, in order to meet extremely demanding customer requirements.
Duties include:
·        To check finished products against the technical specification. This is to include random weight & metal detection checks.
·        To check the level of hygiene around the factory premises and taking action where appropriate.
·        To ensure daily paperwork is completed within the factory. This is to include weights, temperatures, and cleaning records, start up checks, metal detection, packaging traceability, sieving records and any other similar records within the quality system.
·        To complete detergent & disinfectant strengths and action accordingly.
·        To complete calibration checks on temperature probes and scales.
·        To assist with checks to incoming ingredients and packaging materials.
·        To assist with internal auditing where appropriate.
·        You will also need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to influence, and a perfect eye for detail.
About you:
Experience in a food manufacturing role is essential
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and quick to learn
Ability to work shifts
