The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join our team at Stanbrokes meat processing facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of food safety, product quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA systems within the food industry, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Stanbroke’s Quality Policy and relevant regulatory requirements.
Oversee QA programs and provide direction to plant laboratory operations.
Maintain current knowledge of manuals, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with QA staff, production teams, laboratory personnel, and management.
Liaise with government bodies (DAFF), Aus-Meat, and customers regarding quality matters.
Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits of quality systems.
Manage and review packing instructions and product specifications with Production.
Support investigations and corrective actions for customer complaints and system issues.
Report critical or unresolved quality issues to the QA 2IC.
Provide feedback on quality system performance and recommend improvements.
Who We Are Looking For
Proven experience in Quality Assurance systems and technical roles within the meat industry.
Strong knowledge of internal and external customer audit processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Possession of Aus-Meat qualifications; AUS-MEAT Beef Specification Certification highly regarded.
Practical experience with food industry QA systems, including HACCP and associated programs.
Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach and strong learning agility.
Key contributor to fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ILeader or similar systems advantageous.
