Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Project Manager to oversee product quality, factory inspections, and supplier compliance for retail store fixtures and display products manufactured in Vietnam. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet engineering specifications, customer requirements, and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate will have experience or education in quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, or project management within metal fabrication, retail fixtures, furniture, or related industries. Strong English communication skills are required. Chinese language skills are desirable due to regular interaction with Chinese suppliers and engineering teams but not required.
Key Responsibilities
-Conduct quality inspections of metal fabricated products, store fixtures, displays, and related components at supplier factories throughout Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Area.
-Review and understand engineering drawings, specifications, samples, and customer requirements prior to production.
-Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, materials, finishes, and workmanship standards.
-Perform in-process, pre-shipment, and final inspections using AQL or customer-specific inspection procedures.
-Identify quality issues, root causes, and corrective actions, and work directly with factories to implement improvements.
-Prepare detailed inspection reports in English, including photographs, measurements, findings, and recommendations.
-Coordinate with suppliers, project managers, engineering teams, supply chain specialists regarding quality concerns and production status.
-Verify packaging, labeling, assembly instructions, and shipping readiness.
-Track quality metrics and supplier performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
-Assist with new product introductions, prototype reviews, and first-production inspections.
-Travel 5 days per week to factories throughout Ho Chi Minh area to conduct inspections and supplier audits.
-Maintain accurate records of inspections, corrective actions, and project status updates.
Qualifications Required
-Fluent spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or Quality Management, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.
-Experience in quality control, manufacturing, engineering, or project management, is desired.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and inspection techniques.
-Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
-Willingness to travel frequently within Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Area.
Preferred
-Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
-Experience with metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, assembly, and retail fixture manufacturing.
-Knowledge of AQL inspection standards and quality auditing procedures.
-Experience working with international customers and suppliers.
-Ability to speak and read Mandarin Chinese.
-Experience using digital inspection and reporting platforms such as Safety Culture.
