Job Description

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will provide QA support for the DHS Office of Homeland Security Statistics (OHSS) programs and deliverables. The Analyst will ensure program deliverables meet applicable DHS quality standards, identify process improvement opportunities, and support testing activities, including data validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). This role is essential to ensuring deliverable quality, data accuracy, and compliance throughout the reporting and data management lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct reviews of OHSS program deliverables to verify compliance with applicable standards.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and data validation procedures.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain issue and defect logs.

Collaborate with program managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure timely identification and resolution of defects and process gaps.

Document and report on test results, process improvement recommendations, and quality issues.

Ensure all quality assurance activities are aligned with DHS quality standards and OHSS protocols.

Provide timely reporting and coordination with key stakeholders, ensuring high-quality outcomes in all deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Information Systems, Computer Science, Quality Management, or related field) preferred.

10+ years of experience in quality assurance roles, preferably within federal or public sector programs.

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, defect tracking, and data validation.

Experience supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and maintaining QA documentation.

Familiarity with data-driven testing tools, reporting tools, and quality management systems.

Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
