CPC Engineering has over 50 years’ experience in the Mining Sector and is 100% Western Australian owned. We are currently seeking a QAQC Coordinator for ongoing works in the Goldfields – CPC is offering an $8,000 relocation allowance for candidates not already based in Kalgoorlie.

Role:

The QAQC Coordinator is to assist the Workshop Supervisor in the execution of all workshop QAQC activities during material receival, fabrication, dispatch and any post works requirements. The role requires a strong customer focus and a solution orientated approach to ensure we deliver in full and on time to the highest quality.

Education and Experience:

Secondary education, preferably to year 12 and or trade qualifications.

Minimum 5 years post trade experience in Metal Fabrication.

Strong background in workshop fabrication of structural steel, heavy plate work & piping.

Formal QAQC qualifications preferred but not essential.

Experience in QAQC requirements & documentation.

Skills and Abilities:

Must be at least a level 10 Welding Inspector

Ability to remain calm under pressure.

A realistic and solutions-based focus to quality management.

Ability to plan and organise with respect to key responsibility areas.

Team player with a flexible attitude and a hands-on approach.

Strong work ethic with a passion in delivering outstanding QAQC results.

Western Australian driver’s licenses.

Medium to high level computer skills with a good understanding of the MS Office suit.

Be practical minded with high level communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Developing, compiling and submitting job/project deliverables such as ITP’s and MDR’s for review and continual updating through to job/project completion.

Maintain Fabrication Checklists for all jobs in fabrication.

Developing NDT requests and job specific weld maps.

Coordinating client inspections.

Performing critical fabrication checks pre & post welding.

Maintaining Welder Qualifications for workshop personnel.

Performing Paint Inspections and preparing paint reports.

Writing Quality related incident reports when required.

Performing receival checks on incoming materials to ensure delivered items match company purchase orders.

Compile paperwork, delivery dockets etc. prior to dispatch by stores.

Technical/Systems Knowledge:

Trade qualified in relevant discipline ideally.

Medium to high level computer skills with a good understanding of the MS Office suit.

High level ability to read fabrication drawings and diagrams.

Human management skills.

Project Management skills.
