BenBau is an international construction company with Irish roots, specializing in concrete works and data center construction projects across Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. We are currently looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our growing team in Sweden.
Our workforce is diverse and multinational, consisting of professionals from Romania, Germany, Poland, Sweden, and many other countries. We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented professional with strong quality management experience and Romanian language skills to support communication and training activities on site.
Job Title: QA/QC Engineer
Location: Sweden (Relocation Required)
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining project quality standards, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, client requirements, and applicable international standards. You will work closely with site management, subcontractors, and the client team to ensure all quality processes are properly followed and documented.
As the QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining quality documentation, including ITPs, Quality Plans, Method Statements, procedures, and quality records
- Monitoring the approval process of quality documents by the General Contractor / Client and ensuring all records are properly tracked and updated
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting Technical Submittals in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards
- Uploading and managing required quality documentation on the Client’s platform, including concrete delivery dockets, registers, concrete cube test results, and certificates
- Ensuring that all quality documentation is prepared, controlled, and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001 and the project Quality Management System
- Conducting quality inductions and toolbox talks for the site team to communicate quality requirements, inspection procedures, and lessons learned
- Maintaining snag registers, NCR registers, corrective action reports, and root cause analyses, ensuring proper follow-up and closure
- Conducting internal quality audits and monitoring compliance with project procedures, specifications, and quality standards
- Ensuring that First of Kind inspections (FOKs) are planned, carried out, documented, and approved
- Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and the General Contractor to ensure inspections, testing, and quality records are completed correctly and on time
- Supporting the preparation of handover documentation and final quality dossiers, ensuring that all required records are complete and approved
Requirements:
- Technical background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent relevant technical experience
- Previous QA/QC experience within the construction industry, preferably on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or data center projects
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Romanian language skills are mandatory in order to conduct quality inductions and toolbox talks with the site workforce
- Experience with Microsoft Office and document management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
